Ex-Tropical Cyclone Fina updates

Dedicated Cyclone Fina emergency and welfare responses have now concluded.

Welfare support

Welfare Recovery and financial support established to support families affected by Cyclone Fina will close at 4pm Wednesday 10 December 2025.

While financial assistance specific to Cyclone Fina is no longer available, families who need guidance, referrals, or access to community services can find a range of services through the NT Community Directory.

NTG payment cards

Households eligible for the $250 power outage payment, received funds via a pre-paid NTG payment card. Cards expire 30 days from the day it was issued.

If you have lost your pre-paid card, forgotten your PIN or have any issues accessing your funds, you will need to email the DCF Welfare Payments team for support within your 30 day period.

You will need to provide the following information in your email:

  • full name
  • address
  • contact number/s
  • card details (if not lost).

Please note the DCF Welfare Payments office will be closed from 25 December 2025 and reopen on Monday 5 January 2026.
