High risk weather season

1 November marks the official start of the Wet Season in the Top End, while bushfire season has started in Central Australia.

Cyclones, severe storms, extreme heat, bushfires and floods may threaten parts of the Territory in coming months.

While some hazards develop slowly others like flash floods, severe storms and bushfires can start quickly and threaten people and property with little notice.

Make sure you are prepared and know what to in the event of an emergency.
