Ex-Tropical Cyclone Lincoln (07U) crossed into the Northern Territory near Borroloola on Friday 16 February as a category 1 cyclone.

The weather system weakened below tropical cyclone intensity soon after crossing, late on Friday 16 February 2024.

Over the following days, the system moved west across the central NT, bringing heavy rainfall and some minor to moderate flooding to areas near its path.

On Tuesday 20 February the weather system moved out of the Territory into the Kimberley region of Western Australia, and the Emergency Operation Centre transitioned to normal agency arrangements.
