What should I do?
All persons in the area should stay up to date in case the situation changes. Check the NT fire incident map.
Drive to the conditions as smoke from this fire may affect visibility on all local roads.
Active fires may occur close to the roadside and firefighting crews may be working close to the roadside.
Updates and advice
Always follow the fire advice of Bushfires NT or the NT Fire and Rescue Service.
Listen to your local ABC radio (FM 106.1) for updates.

Health advice - smoky conditions
- Smoke from bushfires can be dangerous, especially if you have asthma or another health problem.
- Put the AirHealth app on your phone to check the air quality where you are.
- When it gets very smoky outside, you should:
- avoid physical outdoor activity
- stay indoors, with windows and doors closed where possible
- if using your air-conditioner, set it to recirculate
- follow your asthma action plan and seek immediate medical advice or care if needed
- call 000 in an emergency
- surgical masks and cloth masks don’t offer protection from bushfire smoke
- if using a mask it should be a well fitted P2 mask; people with respiratory conditions should seek medical advice before using.
Best course of action is to avoid smoke by staying inside with doors and windows closed.
