Update 1: Flooding Daly River

Daly River is expected to reach major flood levels again early next week.

Plans for evacuations are underway, and residents are urged to prepare for evacuation by preparing their property. Pack away any electrical gear off the floor and store your valuable items up off the ground.

It’s really important to keep your power meters topped up in case of a Telstra outage. You won’t be able to top up your meter remotely if there’s an outage.

You won’t be able to take your pets when we evacuate. Please be ready to leave them outside with dry food they can reach in a sheltered area.
