Update 5: Flooding Palumpa

The community is experiencing localised flooding and is currently isolated, with rapidly rising waters.
Road access is impassable.
Heavy rainfall and flooding in the area may have impacted the water supply system.
Palumpa was fully evacuated, where residents are accommodated at Marrara Indoor Stadium.
School
Nganmarriyanga School will be closed from Monday 9 March.
Students from Nganmarriyanga School are currently attending pop-up schools in Darwin and Palmerston.

Boil water alert
The Department of Health has issued a Boil Water Alert for the community - use cooled boiled water or bottled water for:
- drinking
- preparing food
- preparing baby formula
- brushing teeth.
Residents are urged to conserve the water supply for the above uses only.
