Update 2: Flooding Palumpa
3pm Saturday 7 March 2026
Plans are underway to evacuate residents at Palumpa.
The community is experiencing localised flooding and is currently isolated, with rapidly rising waters.
Road access is impossible.
Heavy rainfall and flooding in the area may have impacted the water supply system.
The Department of Health has issued a Boil Water Alert for the community - use cooled boiled water or bottled water for:
- drinking
- preparing food
- preparing baby formula
- brushing teeth.
Residents are urged to conserve the water supply for the above uses only.
