The Northern Territory Disaster Impact Survey enables property owners to do a self-assessment of their property and assets after a disaster event has occurred.
The survey covers all disasters bushfire, cyclone, flood, storm or other event.
It can be completed on a smart phone, tablet, computer or other standard device.
Using the self-assessment survey
To complete the survey click on the survey link above and go through each question.
Some questions must be completed to be able to submit the survey.
Other questions are optional.
The details you provide helps us to better understand the level of impact of the disaster event to your property.
Once you are finished hit the Submit button to submit your self-assessment survey.
Instructions for self-assessment survey
If you are unsure of the level of impact, an estimate will be adequate for the purposes of this survey. If there are additional impacts to your property that haven’t been captured, please include them in the free text field at the end of the survey.
To report that your property was not affected by the recent disaster event, please input your property location details, select 'No' to the relevant question, and submit the survey. This aids in assessing the overall impact.
For events spanning several days, use the approximate start date when responding to the survey question.
No specific guidelines exist for rating property impact. Provide a rating based on perceived production impact. Use the text box for additional context. If your address or property name is not found, drop a pin on the map within your property's boundaries.
If you're unsure of your PIC, use the Northern Territory PIC search. Enter multiple PICs for your property by separating them with a comma. Insurance information is required per Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements for assessment purposes.
For livestock affected by lost pastures or feed, include them in the 'Total number of stock affected' question. Provide details in the text box if other factors impacted your stock.
