Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle has crossed the eastern Top End coast and weakened below tropical cyclone strength.
Severe Weather Warning for heavy, locally intense rainfall and damaging winds
A Severe Weather Warning is current for heavy, locally intense rainfall and damaging winds for Daly and parts of Arnhem, Carpentaria and Gregory districts.
Locations which may be affected include Darwin, Katherine, Palmerston, Jabiru, Wadeye and Nauiyu.
Prepare

- Monitor conditions via the Bureau of Meteorology website.

You need to take your emergency kit and the following items
- Blankets and pillows
- Food that doesn’t need cooking
- Medication and baby needs
- Water.
What you can’t take
- Pets – leave at home with food and water – do not tie them up, and do not leave them inside if your home might flood
- Cigarettes, alcohol, drugs and weapons
- Cooking equipment.
